Information Asymmetry is the core challenge that drives many technology and social tools in place across the world. One person may have information in their head or hard drive that would be more valuable if it was usable by another party. Value can certainly have divergent meanings for people depending on their mood, interests or needs. Social media has filled an asymmetry issues with peoples desire to share and learn about the their friends and family. Businesses have invested in information technology for decades hoping to solve asymmetry problems related to everything from how much money are we making to which products will be hot over the next holiday season.
I am fascinated by trying to solve information asymmetry problems, and I spend an incredible amount of time thinking about how to solve these puzzles of technology and psychology. I am starting this blog to share my thoughts with anyone interested in the topic. Dialog certainly encouraged.
